Sasha Roiz is an Israeli-born Canadian actor who is best known for portraying roles such as Sam Adama in Caprica and Captain Sean Renard in Grimm. Being an outdoors and nature loving guy, Sasha is an avid traveler who enjoys travel photography. He frequently shares his travel experiences on Instagram.

He visited Africa to especially hike Mount Kilimanjaro.

Sasha’s famous role as Sam Adama in Caprica (2009 – 2010) originally was a mere guest appearance. It was expanded after his audition to make him a regular cast member.

When Sasha moved to Portland, Oregon to shoot for Grimm, he had not been on a bicycle in 20 years, but he purchased a bike there that became his main conveyance for local travel.

Although he was acting for a long time, Sasha invited his parents to the sets to see him working for the very first time when he was shooting for Grimm. He revealed that his mother totally embarrassed him by applauding loudly at the end of one of his takes.

Sasha owns an apricot-colored poodle named Bernie the poo. He loves his dog so much that he has created an Instagram page in his name.
