Following his exploits in the ICC U-19 World Cup triumph in 2008, Ravindra Jadeja was picked up by the Rajasthan Royals for INR 12 Lakh in the auction.
He featured for the Royals in a couple of seasons before being banned for the 2010 edition for violating the IPL code of conduct.
However, the spin-bowling all-rounder returned to the fold in 2011, where he was picked up by the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. However, the franchise disbanded after just 1 season, following which, the CSK went ahead and belted out INR 9.2 crore to claim Jadeja's services.
