Emmi releases bold visual for 'You Said You Loved Me'

After releasing her latest single ‘You Said You Loved Me‘ last month, singer/songwriter Emmi has unveiled the accompanying video for the track.

The video was premiered on Red Bull and truly captures her creativity. In fact, each dancer was personally selected by Emmi, to represent a cross section of society in all shapes, sizes and ages. All of these people relate to the emotion in the ‘you said you loved me but you didn’t’ message.

The bold visual is striking and captures exuberant choreography. The unflinching close ups throughout also echo the raw emotion built up in this track. Having co-written ‘You Said You Loved Me’ with David Dawood and Tonino Speciale, it’s incredible that Emmi has continued the creative process by putting her artistic stamp on the music video too.

Having previously received support from The Guardian, Radio 1, CLASH and even Taylor Swift herself, it’s great to see the kind words about her continue to flood through from other outlets.

“Distinctly unique… enhanced by the singer’s emotional, powerful vocals” – Buzzfeed

“A morally redeeming listen… stunning”  – Complex UK

“Soft electro-pop that pulses with restrained energy”  – Billboard

“If you like emotional, heart felt electro-pop you should really be listening to this”  – The Line Of Best Fit

The singer continues to shine as one of 2016’s brightest pop hopes, following a performance at Radio 1’s Big Weekend. We can’t wait to hear even more from Emmi in the near future.
